Finding an Apartment

We are presently offering some apartments for immediate occupancy, as well as about eighty apartments for occupancy during 2007-2008. To view our listings, click here. With our new website, you can search by a variety of variables, or simply click on the number of bedrooms that you are looking for and you will then be brought to a list of available apartments.

When you have found an apartment that you would like to view or if you have further questions, simply fill out the online inquiry form or call us at 387-5897, press 1 to leave a message, and our agent will get back to you to set up an appointment.

Signing a Lease

Once you have seen the apartments and are ready to sign a lease, you must contact Peter Penniman, also at 387-5897, to arrange to meet with him. You can also email Peter Penniman by clicking here.

To sign a lease, you will need to pay a security deposit equal to one month’s rent. We do not consider an apartment to be reserved for you until a lease is signed and the security deposit is paid. After the lease is signed, we generally collect another payment for the last month’s rent. And before the actual starting date of the lease you would need to pay a third payment for the first month’s rent.

We currently accept payments via Cash, Check, Certified Bank Check, or Money Order. We also accept credit cards however there is a processing fee.

On rare occasions we are able to waive the advance payment of last month’s rent, but only with special assurances and references provided by the tenant. (e.g., guaranteed direct payment of rent by a third party, such as a federal rent subsidy program).

For more information or to receive a sample lease, please send an email to Peter Penniman by clicking here.

Moving In

When your lease date arrives and it is time to move in, you may call our office and make an appointment to meet at the apartment. Please remember to make all necessary arrangements for telephone, TV cable, and electric and gas service. Also, your first month’s rent should be paid before you move in. We will meet you at the apartment, give you the keys, and check the condition of the apartment and furnishings with you to make sure it is satisfactory.

Moving Out

You will be responsible for leaving the apartment clean and free of damages, and for vacating the apartment by the time and date on your lease. Your lease will contain a checklist of items to help you to do a thorough job of preparing the apartment for the next tenant. Please Contact Us for further details about moving out, what to do with keys, and so forth. (Email works well unless your question is urgent.) We will need your forwarding address so that we can mail you the security deposit. The deposit is generally returned to you within 20 to 30 days after the end of your lease.
